This weekend was the Shotgun Enduro. Where does one start? Mother Nature stepped up for another battle with the HMDR gang. What have we done to her that she must remind us of her good and bad moods? LOL Years back she dumped 7 inches of rain on us in a few hours. Last year she tested us at our hare scramble. This year she had decided to have fun with us again the day before our event. The good news was she may have made the trail a bit better or just added to the deal but the bad news was the parking. Grass, topsoil and a couple of inches of rain did not make finding a spot to park any fun or if you made it in the challenge was how to get yourself back out.
As for the event we hope everyone had fun, the rain added some interesting challenges for the riders. At least the rain held off for the event. The sun showed its face and SJER's Rich Lafferty took home the shotgun this year. Great ride to all the finishers.
