The ECEA FastKIDZ have taken Sahara Sands by storm. Even with the threat of showers and cloudy skies, the racing was great. MCI did a terrific job of providing the kids with great trail that was fast, fun and very safe. Spectators, fans and parents got a nice view of the racing from a nice layout of sand trails. ECEA Vice President, Ken Held, took on the job of race announcer. Being the former Youth Coordinator and still a Hare Scramble Committe member, Ken is familar with the kids and able to keep some good conversation while the youth racing was underway. Ken and the ECEA FastKIDZ were ready to rumble !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MCI along with Dave Nash and current Youth Coordinator Rick Ford did it all perfectly for a great day. John Castaldi our big kid and Pitster Pro dude, gave away the house to the ECEA Fast KIDZ winners with fine plaques and backs of swag... Smiles were plentiful from everyone.
After the Youth event was completed, a treat was instore with the MOTO Surf guys. this concept of MotoCross. that we scored with a GP Format of 2 motos per class, 15 minutes plus 2 laps was just flat out Awesome. This added feature was worth the effort to round out a spectactular day of racing.
Adult, friends and families come on out to Sahara Sands on Sunday for more racing..., guaranteed no regrets......
