Details are still sketchy but it looks like we received an informal challenge from the NETRA youths at this years GNCC in Unadilla scheduled for Sept 11th and 12th. Looking for 10 volunteers to attend the race on behalf of the ECEA youth. Rumor has it that the there might be an other series team forming at this very moment as well. This should be interesting. Send me a PM if interested. There are no ECEA Hare Scrambles on this date.

Still working on it with NETRA. Looks like it will be a 10 man team with alternates.

Who qualifies as youth? I know the ecea has plenty of fast kids riding the youth series but I was wondering if they would consider including some of our really fast youths( under 16 yrs old) racing big bikes? Example: Shane Hufford, Nick Davis, Kyle McDonal, Mike Medeiros,Dieter Willenbrock,Chase Rusden, Tanner Thomas, etc. I know their are a few more that are close in age.(Pennabaker, Smith, Tenner, Chapman). Reguardless of the format, it is a cool idea and I think the ecea will stack up well against any another series. THE ECEA KIDS ROCK!

This is what I have so far:

  • if you race 4 youth events in 2010 prior to Sept 11, then you would qualify.
  • You would also have to be 15 on January 1st 2010.
  • No A or AA Adult Class riders would qualify either.

Is a 300 with small wheels considered a MINI??? laugh.gif It would be an awesome team . An 18 and under ecea team, OMG look at that talent!

I'm with Rick M, include everyone, this is the kind of thing that gets people pumped .HS Team competition at the club level is a cool idea, team comp. with another series is WAY COOL!!!!

Doin the Youth thing is a handful as it is. Somone else will have to iron out the adult events and details. There is a whole topic dedicated to this on another site and we are up to 5 events. There is also another series that wants in.
