2002 Harley Davidson FXDP Dyna Defender, TC88 (1450cc) wrinkle coat motor. Purchased used in 2004 with 1800 miles on it from the Police Unity Tour Foundation. Accordingly it was never used for police duty, just escorts; most notable being the annual trip from NYC to DC.
The important police hardware was kept (dual disc front brakes, heavy duty charging system, certified speedometer, hotter factory cam?) but all the rest of the duty stuff was removed and the following things were added/changed into what it is today:
-HD Night Train rear and 21" spoked front wheel.
-HHI 3degree raked, polished mid glide triple trees with Progressive springs, lowered.
-Progressive lowered shocks.
-Lowered side stand.
-Kuryakyn/HD forward controls.
-Kuryakyn side mount tag/brake light.
-1.75" wrapped drag pipes
-Arlen Ness intake with OEM Police cover.
-Carb jetted to run perfectly with the intake/drags.
-Street Bob dash to hold the original bar mounted speedometer.
-Replacement OEM rear fender shaved down and mounted lower on struts to give less fender gap (still have original, unmolested fender/brake light)
-Handmade tall sissy bar and HD shorty bar.
-Three different seats (from solo butt breaker to plush 2-up).
-Four different handlebars: from 16" apes with internal wiring and stock switches to low drag bars. Currently running 9" Z-bars with no switches and shaved controls...very narrow and great for lane splitting!
-Bike presently has no blinkers, horn or kill switch but I saved all that stuff. Ignition key and direct starter button relocated to right side of the bike, below the seat. Hi/lo beam switch is on the side of the dash.

This bike runs perfectly and has never let me down, including on a 1200 mile tour of New England. Always starts easily hot or cold, never backfires or coughs, and receives regular maintenance; needs absolutely nothing. Currently showing 10,800 actual miles. Stored indoors, covered and on a battery tender. Clean NJ title in possession. The bike is currently set up for a taller rider but could easily be re-configured to fit anyone since it has a very low seat height and mounting tabs for mid controls as well.

MANY spare parts/accessories included.

$6900 obo.

Yes, hopefully getting a stack of hundreds next B)

Just don't really ride on the road any more. The KLR is enough of a street bike for me and what I will ride if Eddie ever allows me on another trip
