Anybody have a new or newish needle/set for a 39/41 fcr? I got issues with my ktm needle seat after getting a tank of bad fuel from a local station when out on a ride..cant get it to stop dripping.. if anybody has one near NEPa or N jersey off 80 or 78 I'll run this morning(memorial day) I hope a dealer in the area may have one as I have a big ride next weekend.. if anybody has anything let me know..
Thanks,
Steve

The problem is likely the o-ring that goes around the removable needle seat. Pull the seat and replace the o-ring and that will probably fix your problem. I had the same issue with an FCR on my Husky. Loads cheaper than a new needle and seat. I can't believe how much those things cost.

Nope,, That ones near my house.. I ended up with about 4 oz. of sludge in 2.75 gallons of "super".. wasn't very super.. I know it wasn't in my tank before because I had removed and cleaned my tank.. I used a can of stabilized fuel to get me to the station.

Thanks for the help.. the o-ring was wasted.. I got a new one from a polaris.. #3130533,, the local polaris dealer had it in stock and much much cheaper than the near $20 ktm oring.. $1.09 with tax.. While I had the tank off I adjusted the valves and I'm doing a few other things since I've put almost 20 hrs on the bike now since I got it.. oh.. and thanks for the q-tip tip!! cut in half they fit in a dremel tool and on low setting polish the brass up nice.. now I think I need a spark plug... looks like it may be the original.. its cracked and was hard to remove.. electrodes wore away.. I'm sure thats not helping this starting issue.. I got the bike it had "under 80 hrs" and looking at some of the maintenance stuff it may have been..

I looked at my notes,, bike had 87 hrs on it,, got it 9-10 so I have had it almost 1 3/4 years.. I have 115 hrs on it.. 2 hammer runs and one smoking hole rally.. and a few trail rides.. The O-ring did the trick.. not flooding out any more.. or so it seams.. I ran her for about 30 minutes in the yard tonight doing a lot of low speed stuff to get it hot and shut off and restarted using the kicker as before I would kick for 5 minutes to get it to fire..
Thanks again!

Just curious, any history of using carb cleaner on your carb? My theory is that even if we are cautious to not spray carb cleaner on any of the rubber parts, we forget that o-ring is in there and the carb cleaner prematurely breaks it down. Or, it could just be all the ethanol in our gas.

I never used any,, but I work with small engines and we are having ethanol issues eating carb parts from chainsaws to 3 cyl industrial eng running so hot Deere has now went to using a 4cyl GM .97L industrial eng that has multiport Fi..
