It must really be for free.
Postage or shipping may be charged
Posting a link to something that is free is OK too!
Offering a something with small strings attached would be OK
(like a product offered if you post a review about it)

Begging for something for free:

There must be a reasonable expectation that the item wanted would have little value.
(like old roll chart holders, take-off parts, non-current year, etc..)
Expect to pay postage or shipping.
Don't be greedy.
