Great event! I wish more enduros were this fun.

Special recognition goes out to Gary Andrews who rode his clapped out 1986 XR600 130 miles from Rochester, NY, complete with saddle bags, sleeping bag, and tent. Rode the event and got 3rd in Senior C. And then rode 130 miles back home. He is the IRON MAN!!!

Great job STER! Having the results up so fast, I was reading them on my I phone on the way home! I think you just raised the bar for all ECEA clubs. Can't wait till next year.

Great job guys. Great trails, great arrowing (could have used a few wrong way ribbons though), nice section length, check in check out, and nice touch at end of race. New York could be Heaven or Hell depending on weather. Thankfully it was a great day all round. Thanks STER.

Great Job STER, this run is always a crowd pleaser from start to finish! Awesome weather, fun trails, and cold soft drinks....it does not get any better.

Thanks!

Haven't done an enduro for about a year. Glad i picked Barbed Wire to get the wheels rolling again. It is always awesome, especially when it's dry. Great trails, country and fun. thanks STER.

JJ missed out since this has to be the closest you can get to the National format with a time keeping event. 2 start controls, No buried check ins and all were very conspicuously placed to make for perfect starts at the flip (which was always facing the riders), good section lengths with no death marches, nice reset times, trail and pace to please everyone from first timers to the pros, and they were handing out awards before I could even finish my sausage/pepper sandwich
Dust in the woods was not bad at all. Arrowing at the major turns coulda been a lot better since everyone seemed to be blowing em.
You could tell a lot of club effort went into this event. Oh yeah, nice custom beverage cups at the end! Is that what the arrow/ribbon budget went to??? ;)
This is still one of the only events I will get up at 0345 for to make the morning drive out!

2009- 19 c riders. 2010- 27 c riders. 2011- 39 c rders with only 2 of them DNF and two DNS. No that's some good stuff. AA guys loved and the c riders survived it.
Ster lost both trail bosses three weeks prior to the event due to major injuries needing surgery. Also lost our vice prez due to a job change and move to NJ. We had to coordinate crews through the woods and try to tell them
What to do by phone. My truck was put through hell on logging roads and fields trying to get out there to make sure they were getting it right. It's tough when you remove three guys that usually do 90% of the arrowing. Our club did pull together and a lot of guys steppes up taking a ton of time off work to get it done. In the long run it will only make us better having more guys understanding what it takes to get it done. Thanks to all the ster members and all the riders that made the trip

What a good day. My first time at ster and thought the event was one of the best i have been to so far. The trail layout doesnt get better.

I had to leave early, Was there anyone there that could drink more beer than people from southern tier?

I guess this guy doesn't count. He doesn't drink beer. I have no idea who he is, or where he is from, or in fact if he is actually human. I'm not sure if he even knows.
