Two years ago I was looking for one and I was lucky to find one close.I sold mine last year and regret it.But if you are willing to take a road trip I noticed alot of xr's up north New hampshire, vermont, mass. check craigslist up there.I know a lot get sent down to south america where they are still real popular because they are so reliable and thats why we do not see that many anymore.

James, you'll probably have an easier time finding an 650l, which you know from my experience it can be made into a very capable trail bike. Hotter cam, plus a washer to raise the needle and some jets is all you need. But there's the fcr Carb, crf showa fork swap, ported head, big bore if you want to get crazy.
There isn't much you can do to shed weight, it is a brp after all (big red pig) so its a handful in singletrack but great on 2 track.
And electric start too!

Luckily it doesn't have a lower starting bid and no reserve or I'd definitely be drawn in...
