2003 ECEA Championship
Hare Scrambles Series

All are welcome to ride our hare scrambles series. You must be a member in good standing of an ECEA club in order to qualify for the championship and year end awards .

Bar Code and Rider Number
Each rider is assigned a rider number and given a bar code for their helmet. The number is good for one season. Since all hare scrambles scoring is done electronically, all riders are required to purchase
a bar code and rider number. The fee is a mere $10 for the year. The proceeds help to pay for the electronic scoring system.

Hare Scrambles Rules

The ECEA Championship Hare Scrambles Series is based upon ECEA and AMA rules. Updates to the rules are published in the ECEA meeting minutes.

New Hare Scrambles Rules and Procedures for 2003.

If you havent heard, the ECEA Championship Hare Scrambles Series underwent some major changes in 2002. The largest being the adoption of an electronic scoring system. This system was already a huge success at the Snowball H/S. Each rider will be required to purchase a bar code strip for their helmet. For the moment, the ar codes are only avaliable at the events.
Along with the scoring system, the ECEA h/s clubs have adopted a new set of h/s rules and procedures. You can read them in html here, or download them in pdf here.

AMA Rules
  • The 2003 AMA Sports Rules Governing Pro-Am,Semi-Professional, Amateur, ATV and Youth Competition is now available. The rulebook which traditionally was only available in the March issue of American Motorcyclist, is now available in PDF format. Follow this URL for the latest AMA Rulebook.
